- Jamey Gossman

I would like to begin by thanking Mr. Gossman for his tireless efforts and professional manner in helping my wife and I reach a milestone in the path to our dreams. We could not be any happier! The land we had purchased for our homestead and to expand our equine rescue, was mostly covered in thick brush and pines. I had begun to clear the land, but it was very rough work and with the little time and equipment I had, I was getting “nowhere fast”. We contacted numerous land clearing personnel and to their credit most of them came out to survey/quote the job. Mr Gossman contacted me back shortly after I left a voicemail. He made time while en route home from his work to help meet within the constraints of our busy schedules. As we walked the area, he listened to my intent and asked questions to better understand our purpose and utilization of the land. He answered any questions I had with respect and a level of expertise I could discern. He made suggestions, taking into account erosion control to prevent future issues; I knew he was genuinely interested in our success. I hired him “on the spot”. He told me he could start the following weekend, apologizing that it would be four days before he could begin as he was finalizing another job. That was fine with me; it showed he cared about his customers, not just how many jobs he could land. Prior to clearing, Mr Gossman contacted the county for site markers for underground lines. When he arrived, I could tell he was professional and we knew we were in good hands. He maneuvered his truck with heavy trailer back into our driveway, carefully weaving around horse paddocks, gardening plots, and even got out to move the garden hose I had mistakenly left stretched across the yard (He didn't know we were watching). My wife and I met with him, spoke about his goals for the day, and discussed the burn pit area. He took into account current and forecasted weather, wind speed/ direction, notified the local fire department for clearance, and more to ensure the safety of our family, home, our rescue animals, and the surrounding land and local roads with traffic. As he cleared, he did so with great determination, care, and consideration. He was always careful when felling trees near our home and horse paddocks. I knew he was insured, but watching him work as diligently and skillfully as he had, I don't feel he will ever need it. I often watched as he worked; both intrigued and in effort to learn, as he made it seem more like he was creating a masterpiece than just clearing acres. The following Saturday morning, he planned his work in an area farther from our house, as he had listened when I told him my wife worked very late on Friday nights. When Mr. Gossman was finished the job, my wife and I were impressed with how well he had done, as were many of our friends of the horse community, and our neighbors. Everyone who walked our newly cleared sections asked for his contact information. I will use him again in the near future to clear more land and to create an improved turnaround for our horse trailer. Of significant note, Mr. Gossman is a Proud Veteran who served his country with honor and dignity. He carries with him the same honor, ethics, and professionalism to date and applies them to his work. How would I know? I’m a Proud Veteran as well. Perhaps a bit lengthy in my review, but admittedly not long enough as there is so much more positive to say. I encourage you to contact him if you need work done, I Promise you will be glad you did.
